Montessori Tennis
A child-centered way to fall in love with tennis
What is Montessori Tennis?
Montessori Tennis is a joyful, child-centered approach to learning tennis.
Stephanie’s work in the Montessori Sports Fundamentals Course—and her lifelong love of tennis—inspired her to reimagine how children are introduced to the game.
Instead of lines, drills, and “correcting,” we focus on curiosity, choice, and confidence. Together with tennis pro and coach Nicole Merrit, we’ve created an environment where children develop tennis skills and grow socially, emotionally, and physically.

How we do it:
Montessori Tennis blends authentic Montessori principles with modern tennis coaching.
Children are invited to explore:

-
How the ball travels through space
-
How their bodies move, balance, and respond
Along the way, they:
-
Build real tennis skills
-
Develop focus and perseverance
-
Practice collaboration and communication
-
Grow in independence and self-confidence
This is more than a sports lesson—it’s a prepared environment for movement, discovery, and joy.
