Introduction

2Voices was established in 1996 to meet the ever-growing needs of young children from families where two languages are spoken. The Montessori philosophy is the platform from which 2Voices cares for the child’s development.

In the first 6 years of life, a child acquires, creates and develops both language and movement. On these foundations are built the future educational potential and achievements of the child.

Physical Movement

2Voices chooses to work with Montessori Sports, because freedoom of movement is essential to infants and toddlers.

The special materials at 2Voices encourage and help the development of movement. Children are interested in refining the skills they acquired during the first years, and the materials and activities encourage the development of movement with precision and self-control.

The groups of children spend time outdoors each morning and afternoon, in the playground or the public park close by. There are a vast amount of activities available to develop equilibrium and both fine & gross motor movement, as well as organized games and nature projects with the teachers.

Both directors have a history of dance, therefore dance and creative movement is an important aspect of the programme.
